Post.Trust I.D.®

Post.Trust I.D. logo

Post.Trust’s single-sign desktop document signing solution for Adobe® Certified Document Services (CDS) is called Post.Trust I.D.®. Post.Trust I.D.® is targeted at the ‘lite user’ with a low volume requirement to digitally sign Adobe® PDF documents (See Product Comparison). Using Post.Trust I.D.®, documents are signed electronically within Adobe® Acrobat on a document-by-document basis. Users can configure the appearance of the electronic signature to include a graphical image e.g. your company logo or your handwritten signature, and store them within Adobe® Acrobat software associated with their Post.Trust I.D.® credential.

Post.Trust I.D.® is a high assurance unique digital credential assigned to an individual for electronically signing Adobe® PDF documents. It is issued on a SafeNet iKey 2032 USB token – a powerful, two-factor authentication personal cryptographic hardware device. Not only do these tokens eliminate the need for expensive readers in the case of smartcard technology, but they are also extremely portable and compact.

Post.Trust I.D.® is fully compliant with the EU Electronic Signatures Directive 1999/93/EU and the eCommerce Act, 2000. What this means is that electronic documents signed using Post.Trust I.D.® have the same legal status as paper documents with handwritten signatures. Thus for businesses that rely on handwritten signatures in a document exchange or workflow process, significant cost savings can be achieved by adopting Post.Trust I.D.®.

For electronic document exchange processes, Post.Trust I.D.® provides confidentiality, integrity, authentication and non-repudiation. In other words, the receiver of an Adobe® PDF document that has been digitally signed using Post.Trust I.D.® can be certain of the authenticity of the communication source and that the document has not been altered by a third party. Non-repudiation means the sender cannot deny that he/she sent the document. In order to establish non-repudiation, the digital signature (authenticates the document) and the digital certificate (authenticates the owner of the signature) must be relied upon.

Post.Trust I.D.® is the digital credential you can trust.
